Position Purpose

The Human Resource Specialist is part of our HR & GA Department and is responsible for Human Resources, General Affairs, and other related corporate services for the employees. You will report directly to the Manager Human Resources and advise and support also the General Affairs Coordinator.

The department has a wide range of human resources-related activities, but during the start-up phase, you also have HR strategy planning and making rules. From your function, you support and manage the daily HR & GA tasks, finalize HR-related documents, write guidelines and procedures, Systemize HR-related business and provide high-quality corporate services to the employees.

In addition, you will be involved in the HR-related fields in Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive and EU Taxonomy in the company-wide sustainability response.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities, but not limited to

  • Assisting, supporting and reporting to the Manager Human Resources.
  • Assisting, supporting the Sustainability Specialist with reporting for CSRD and EU Taxonomy in HR-related fields.
  • Writing MSCN internal- and ISO-procedures
  • Taking care of the operational day-to-day HR processes and procedures.
  • You’ll make sure to understand and translate the parent company’s HR strategy into a suitable HR and Talent strategy for the Netherlands entity, relating to current and future talent needs, recruitment, retention and succession planning.
  • You are the person in charge of developing the HR operating model for the NL entity including hierarchical structure, reporting lines, job requirements and capabilities with the Manager.
  • Implementing onboarding programs and creating learning and development programs to provide employees with internal development opportunities.
  • Drafting job descriptions and processing recruitment and onboarding efforts, including drafting and/or reviewing employment offers and employment agreements.
  • Performing job evaluations and external benchmark reviews to be able to offer competitive compensation packages to retain and attract talent, as well as determining appropriate incentive schemes for the organization.
  • Setting up an appropriate performance management system that drives the right performance culture, assisting employees tasked with performance appraisals of subordinates, and managing resulting compensation decisions such as raises or bonuses.
  • Developing and establishing for managing the payroll process, providing necessary payroll support systems, and liaising with payroll processing companies.
  • Managing other HR & GA-related IT systems and applications, and establishing necessary connections with each system to be efficient.

Job Specifications (Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications, etc.)

  • Proven track record of a minimum of 5 years of proven track record work experience in a Human Resource position or a similar field.
  • Excellent knowledge of Human Resource processes and relevant experience with related software systems and applications.
  • Demonstrable affinity with Dutch labor law, payroll and accuracy in numbers Strong communication skills, and excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • A Dutch speaking native and also proficient in speaking and writing in English
  • Pro-active, service-minded and creative problem-solving attitude.
  • HBO- or HEAO diploma in Human Resources or equivalent.
  • Experience in a managerial role.
  • Knowledge, experience and willingness to work on Sustainability and writing procedures in general.
  • Proficiency with MS Office.
